Formatting question....

Hi all,
Just started with boot disk and typed format c and I'm getting :
"CDR101: not ready reading drive F"
and
"Parameter format not correct" messages.

I have A (floppy), C ( the one I want to format), D (spare drive I use for backups), E (zip drive), and F (CD-RW) .

What am I doing wrong??

(duh).

Gary

Type "format c: \u", you only have to type the "c:" if you're not at the C directory and the u parameter is for unconditional format, which
is complete eraser of your hardisk with no chance of undoing it.
hope this helps
