Formatting in XP ready for RAID 0 installation

I have a PC running Win XP Pro with a 160Gb Seagate SATA Drive. My drive's in need of a reinstallation of XP and, as my motherboard supports RAID 0, 1 and 0+1 I'm planning on installing a second 160Gb Seagate SATA drive and going for RAID 0 for speed. I've got pretty good instructions from the manufacturer of the m'board (a MSI K8T Neo) so I think I'm OK to give it a go.

I'm planning to Ghost an image of my current drive onto a third drive just in case it all goes pear-shaped (a little knowledge is a dangerous thing - right?). This way, I can always throw it back on to go back to where I started.

However, once I've done the Ghosty bit I think I need to format the existing disk first to clear off the clobber. Could someone suggest the best way to go about this please?

Any tips re: RAID also gladly appreciated.

Cheers

Peter
