Got a 400GB SATA HDD, going to install Vista 32 on it.... Before I do taht I need to know stuff.

1. Formating, how do I do, where do I do it (BIOS or OS), when do I do it and with what do I do? Would be nice with a link to a good guide about this.

2. Defraging, same as above.

Shouldn't this be in the General Hardware section?
Guess I should have clarified my yup. Yup as to "format during install of OS"
