I have 2 drives:
120gb ssd
1tb hdd

I have most of my main programs/games on the 1tb and I was wondering if there was a way I could save the registry file so I don't have to reinstall everything in that second hdd?

Assume you have 7 Ult on the SSD. My question is, why the need to reinstall? If there is a problem, why not fix it as opposed to the nuke option?

Why not just address the audio/video problem? If you totall uninstall your audio system and reinstall from scratch it might be more surgical than complete annhiliation i.e., throwing out the baby with the bathwater. None of the suggestions in that thread suggested the nuke optoin.

This is one major complaint of mine about Windows that seems should have been something they put in a way to save program registry settings. Even when you do a repair..you may as well do a format because everything is jacked up afterwards.

Yep, even rolling back doesn't help in some cases. Win 7 is really sensitive to bad drivers.
