Formating and partitioning a HD

I'm going to be installing Win2000 tommorrow, but I need to partition, and format my hard drive first. I don't know how to do that though. I don't have to Win2000 disk right now. So where would I find the files that I need to do this? Do I need more than one partition for any reason? Also I've heard that with Win2000 you can partition after installing the OS, is that true. Thanks.

actually if you have the 4 w2k bootdisk then just boot up and you can partition and format. I think the when you boot to the third disk and that's when you can define partition and format the drive. You can make the bootdisk by running the command makeboot.exe from the W2K disk.

Actually, you can just boot from the cd (if your system supports this) and manipulate your partitions from there.
