format laptop tablet

How do I format a tablet laptop, that does not have a floppy of cd drive? I need the HD formatted so that I can sell it.
Any ideas?

Does it support a usb boot? If it does, make your usb key bootable and boot to it. It probably supports a network boot to, but thats a little more complicated.

no, boot from a usb key, you know, the flash memory usb sticks. Make one bootable on another pc and boot your tablet to it.

Read this, it explains how to make the key bootable

then also add whatever program you want to wipe the drive, i recommend g-disk or you could use dban.

that seems like to much work for me.....LOL....I think I might just borrow an external Cd drive and boot from that....

Yeah, that would probably be easier, but you never know when a bootable usb key can come in handy.

You know of any good data erasers that are downloadable? I need my data to be gone, dead, vanished. Since I am selling it.

dban is excellent, but it takes some time, up to 7 hours depending on the size and speed and how many passes you want make.

Google for a program called Eraser, latest version is 5.7 I think

Well if you have a 2.5" HDD enclosure that would be the easiest; To format the HDD through another PC.

You planning to sell yours without OS installed? Any Tablet PC comes shipped with Windows XP Tablet PC edition... (And there should be a recovery disc)
Get a cheap USB CD-Rom
