If i were to bootup with a startup disk...(with cd-rom support)...i will be set in "A:\" right? Then I'll do an Fdisk...and set my drive to just 1 partition. (don't wanna bother with more than 1)....and then it reboots and i'm in "A:\" again with CD rom support. Then what? Do i just type "format" and enter? I remember doing "/s" of some sort for the system files to be copied over? WHAT DO I DO FOR THIS STeP? HELP ...THAnKS

After rebooting your machine with support for cd-roms. Change to the cd-rom and run setup. Windows installation will handle the format process for you.

After you boot from a bootup disk, Windows will create a RAM drive for you, which contains the tools on the book disk. Say you only have one hard drive (C:) and one CD-rom drive, your harddrive will be C:, RAMdrive will be D: while the CD-rom is E: You can run FDisk and format in D. Afterwards just insert the Windows CD, and run setup in E:

Or just go to the "ramdrive" prompt - D:/, and type "format c:
this will format your HDD
