What is gonna happen if I format my HD very often. Like 4-5 times a week..or maybe 4-5 times a day ?

maybe you'll cut down its life by .25 years or something, i don't know...

4-5x a day? if u need to hide that much pr0n, disable cookies, history..etc :)

about ur question i wanna to appear that there is two type of format

1) normal format "like format c: .... & so on " ..... this type not danger anymore "dont effect anymore to ur HD

2) Low level format .... & this type is very danger when u used to do it

I think what Hossam is saying is that no matter how much you format it won't affect it's lifespan, but low level formatting will eventually wear down a drive.

Well, I use to reformat a lot... I noticed my HD started again weird. It was really lagging and stuff at start up.

no no. I don't format my HD every day or every week. that's nutz. I'm just curious cause I was having a little talk with my friend about HD and we was wondering would it 'hurt' the HD if we format everyday..or maybe every week :)
