Forgotten WinXP Login

Cares

Senior member
So my friend needs help with his computer but I never experienced this. He forgot the password to login to the Admin account on his 700m. Anyway to recover it? Only solution I know is to just format but that's such a hassle. There has to be an easier way.

same. great utility. boots a basic command line linux core and could use a better interface, but it works suprisingly well.

1 little thing, though i only had 3 accounts registered, it showed 4 accounts. it went something like this
account 1
account 2
account 3
hp_owner

even though account 1 was the admin, you had to change owner password to change admin assword. changing account 1 password did nothing.

just go to safe mode and reset it....

i believed it can be done this way

As long as he didn't set a password to his Administrator account this will work.
