I had the same problem like other member, I had s check that was been refunded when I refinanced my home and it's been sitting there since 2003 and one of the members said that we should contact with the county or state to get the money back since that money is owed to us, so hopefully that would bectrue then , does anybody get things like this happen to them? I hope that I can still get it! ( the title company wasnot there anymore!!! ( also that title company is no longer existed) Thank you.

If you haven't cashed your check that means the fund is still in the escrow account. Since the title company is no longer in business your money may have ended up with the state, or find out from the mortgage company that helped you with your refinance.

If the company was following state law, then that money has been escheated to your state. Check with your state's Unclaimed Property department or check missingmoney.com

You might find that check isn't the only thing that was owed to you.

I have found significant amounts of money on there for myself and family members.
I check it every now and then.
