Forgotten Battles/Ace Expansion Pack/Pacific Fighters

Ok, there seems to be some misconceptions about the combined install of Forgotten Battles/Ace Expansion Pack/Pacific Fighters all patched up to the 4.04 version. In this thread, a guy doesn't like the graphics...

I responded, but felt you might like to see more screen shots of the game. Try and remember that these screenshots were taken before the last couple of patches came out and the muzzle flash from guns on planes has since been reduced and clouds have been improved and other graphic improvements have happened as well. So, by no popular request whatsoever!...

Exactly! These are older screen shots that have NOT been faked or phoneyed in any way. The shots are set up so they look no better than what I saw on my old CRT with 1024 X 768 and 80 Hz refresh rate.

So Professor 1942, am I just too easy to please or could that Dude in the other thread be wrong about the quality of grahics in the game?

Well, most developers abandon their games pretty fast but Oleg/1c Maddox are very devoted and have been upgrading the engine on a regular basis to utilize the new graphics technologies that come out, so if you follow the release notes and change your ini files as necessary, the sim is still the best looking flight sim on the market...

it looks nothing like it did 5 years ago, and yes, you need the latest hardware (GF7) to run it at max settings.
