So, being stupid and in a hurry, I totally forgot to install the motherboard risers. I installed all the parts and turned the computer on. Everything went on fine, CPU/GPU fans were spinning, then about 20 seconds in, everything died. Hit the power switch and nothing happens. Cleared the CMOS, but still can't even get any part to turn on. Computer seems totally dead.
I figured I short-circuited my mobo because the back touched the metal case.
Questions I have are: Is my PSU damaged? Is my video card damaged? Is my CPU damaged, and are my RAM modules damaged? What are the likelihood of each being damaged from a mobo short-circuit? I can't test the parts on another computer because this is the only desktop.
Also, is there a way to test my PSU with my case fans? I'm not sure how I would boot the PSU without the power switch though... I assume if it runs my case fans then it's hopefully fine.
Thanks in advance.
