I know this sounds a bit rediculous, but I forgot to have that security thing that beeps when you go through the detectors removed from a shirt I bought at Lord & Taylor. I can't find my reciept and I don't want to cut through it because i know it releases ink all over the shirt. Is there anyway to get this off without having major damage to the shirt? Please help.

If you paid with plastic I'm sure you can all L&T and say you purchased it on this date and show them your statement and they will be more than happy to accomodate you.

OR BE A GANGSTA AND WEAR IT WITH THE TAG

are you sure there's ink and it's not just a metal piece that sounds off detectors?

My friend used to do this all the time. Just put it in the microwave and it should mess up the magnetic part and it should come right off.

Do not do this.:D

Hmm, the ink won't bust on the shirt?

Josh, it's a known shoplifter's trick to put the shirt in the freezer so you can remove the ink security device. Don't use any other method.

Yeah, better to walk around with the tag stuck to your collar.

Detectors run on electricity. Just make one trip out, and on your way out, unplug the cord (cords aren't long... so usually it's a powerbar or outlet that's right beside the detector).... then come in again, and take whatever you want out.

Or do a google search and see what people say about taking it off.

do all of those security "things" have ink in them? The one that I removed didn't or I just got lucky and didn't break it
