Forgot screensaver password in XP...

forgive my ignorance, but couldn't you just restart the computer and uncheck the checkbox?

(never used pass-prot. screensaver)

No. The OS restarts and asks for a password, which it didn't do before setting up the one for the screensaver.

You should be able to mess around in the bios and mabye turn it off. Or I think you can boot in safe mode and turn it off. I've done it to turn the user boot-up password off, but i'm not 100% sure if it's for SS psswords.

Tell me if it works. :)
