there is a program you can change it with, but have you set up a password for the Administrator account. i know some people set up themselves as users, but many times the administrator account is usually left alone with a blank password. While on the welcome screen, move the mouse away from the icons of the users, and let it sit idle untill the names kind of fade a little (usually 5 or 10 seconds or so), and hit ctrl -alt - del, which will make the welcome screen go away, and the standard log in screen appear (a la Windows 2000) Type Administrator as the user name and just leave the password as blank see if you can log in that way, if so, you can use that administrator account to manage the existing users, such as deleting and recreating your account, etc etc, if not, the name of program i use to crack passwords in win 2k and win xp is EBCD Pro.

Good Luck

Ah, I see you crossposted this... doesn't matter since Paperlantern basically said the same thing, but I answered the other post.

The fact that this worked means your computer is a total sitting duck for worms and Trojans, by the way 🙂 May I suggest that you fix it. Log in as Administrator, go to Control Panel > User Accounts, and give it a strong password that contains symbols and isn't found in the dictionary, such as atu0999@AT.

Fail to do that, and any malware can help itself to your computer.
