forgot admin password for xp

I have been playing around with the live CD for PCLINUXOS and decided to install it as a dual boot with XP. I had a dual boot with 2000 pro and XP home. I tried to install the linux OS on a seven gb partion with one GB for the swap. I reformatted my 2000 pro partion and tried to make it my home partion(30 GB) it was the C partion. I installed and rebooted. Grub 17 error came up. I boogered my mbr it seems(?) can't boot either OS. Tried to go and repair my XP install by booting with the XP disk and choose r to repair. Forgot my admin password it seems. I suppose I can wipe everything with drive wipe and start over but would prefer a work around on the lost admin password for XP. Any suggestions? It is too bad because I really wanted to use PCLINNUXOS.
