...for I have sinned.

Instead of buying a crack rack full of Athlon MP's, I went out yesterday and bought a fairly new Chevy Malibu (15,000 miles). Although it doesn't have the same power under the hood that the Athlon Crack Rack has, it still has it's uses.

Sorry guys, with Bator it just didn't make sense to have a 2 door car anymore. 😉

Jay

There is still a computer under the hood. Get or make a version of the client that will work with the chip (probably a Motorola 68000 series) and keep cracking.

Just think what horse power (pun intended) could be harnessed if this route could be made effective. How many cars are out there, parked and not using there full potential.

Collecting and uploading the results would be a pain in the arse. Perhaps set up auto-diagnostic computers to harvest and transmit completed WU's. 😉

Look at it as an investment Jay. Your son will grow up well now, and become a powerful cracker.😉 So in the end, you still win.😀

Jay,
As your penance, do 5 Hail SETIs and deposit 1311 WUs to anandtechseti@yahoo.com ASAP!

😉😉😉😉😉
😀

Nice car. 🙂

We headed out earlier this year to buy a Chevy Malibu, but ended up with a Buick Regal instead (wife and I needed a bit more "elbow" room, if you know what I mean. :Q)

Ray,

I also looked at the Impala (too expensive) and the Lumina (too many miles on it) and decided the Malibu was the best choice. Would like a car a little bit wider, but comming from a Chevy Cavalier (2-door), this car is much wider. 😉

Here's how I figure it. You must have anti-lock breaks. But how often are you using them? With the new program we must develope (SETI@Auto...RC-Car...), we'll use all that processing power the anti-lock breaks have when they are not in use, 99.999% of the thyme.

Elementary my dear Watson! Just re-program a GPD and use the satellite link!

Jay,
The wife really, really liked a red Impala at the place we bought the Buick, but we were needing a four door, and we got a better deal on the Buick. 🙂

Hey, how is the brake pedal feel on that Malibu? On ours you really gotta jam it in hard to get any kind of braking power, and doesn't seem to brake real fast anyway. 🙁

Brakes? What are brakes? you don't need no stinkin brakes....

At least the way they drive around here. Stop Sign, no problem, speed on through, Red light, no problem, just speed on through.....

This week especially, I've had people fly by me that were doing 85 to 90+ (I sped up to 80 and couldn't keep up with them. :Q

All this car buying stuff makes me want to go out and by a new car......SLAP.....SLAP.....SLAP......er.....new Palomino chips X 2 😀

(much cheaper....and produce a few more WU's)...and besides...my cars are just fine! (and paid for too 😉 ) 😀

Oh, and Jay...you are really forgiven 😀

When we had our daughter (2 years ago upcoming November - Say Happy Birthday to Kara on November 12th everybody 😀), trading the Camaro Z28 (97 model) for the Windstar was a real shock! :Q

(Actually, the van has been a blessing.....you can haul so much stuff in those things 😀)

I had vans for years while my daughter was growing up...had to haul all the friends to girl scouts and cheerleading..well now she is 16..no more vans for me.🙂

Oh and we do still have the work van and the pickup for hauling😀

Cmon February, I want that refund, I am sooooo ready for my dual palaminos🙂
