Sure the rear end may not look that good, but the rest is top-notch. Great looking interior and exterior (for hte most part). The car was just released in Japan and should be making way to our shores next year or so. Expectto see a vide range of powerplants including a trubocharged engine too. You never know, Subaru might offer the STi Legacy over here.....

This car will succeed over here, as long as its priced right.

Japanese wanted to be the "England" of Asia during the end of the 19th century.

I must say that looks pretty sharp. You can see some German influence.

I don't like the black D-pillar on the wagon, though. That's a cheap look IMO.

Edit: and I think that certainly looks better than any of Subaru's existing vehicles.

Woah. This thing is schweeet. Move over Mazda6. From what I hear, there should be an STI version of this available. Can you say twin-turbo flat six:Q:Q:Q*drool*

I have a 2001 Legacy Outback Sedan Limited and love it! As long as Subaru keeps pumping out cars like this, they'll have my business for awhile. The sedan looks good.

Kinda looks like a TSX and Mazda 6. BTW...I just realized that Mazda might be the first manufacturer to succesfully force people to include the brand of the car when talking about the model. It would sound weird by only saying the "6".

Can't wait for the Legacy Turbo 😀

THat's what people said about Mazda6. It's not selling well at all.
I don't think Camry, accord, or Altima have anything to worry about.

I do like Subaru. I also like the idea of a wagon. I am convinced a great reason why you see so few of them down in the south though is that subaru has to build AWD into the cost of each vehicle and since it's just not a requirement or even practically useful in the south at all in most ways then subarus end up costing more than other cars for no noticeable advantage to a driver in the South.

Dang! Like it very much, but why on earth did they have to slap the previous generation altima's taillight on it???

Luxury cars are markted that way. No one says they drive a C320, they say they drive a Benz!

Supertool: Sadly you might be right, HOWEVER if Subaru can have two very different trims for the car, a sporty and a luxury, it might do very well. See the Mazda 6 always looks sporty, it doesn't have that conservative look (inside or out), so its excluded by buyers who want a Camry or Accord. However the Legacy hast hat conservative look (well more so than the 6) and they can geriatrize the interior as well to meet certain demographics.

Man, I'm totally in love with the black one in the center of the page. The interior is DROOOOOL😛

I think the current model legacy looks pretty sharp, it's only problem is the biggest engine is a NA 2.5 4-cylander. Hopefully they'll put something a little more substantial in this one.

Damn. Not bad. Certainly a very different offering from Subaru. They'll win some new customers with the "grown up" look.

Well, you can get the H6 3.0 in the high end "outback" models of the Legacy.
