That's nothing cause Los Angeles (3/5/04) got Dyers Eve, which they have never played before since Lars forgot how to play it until last night!

My preorder is in for this concert - it sounded great being in a closed arena like the Forum. I liked it more than the last time I saw them in an open field.

Dyers Eve

When I saw this last night I about crapped my pants. They had all but vowed to never play Dyers Eve live, but everyone wanted it. This was one frickin' awesome concert. I'll definitely get this in FLAC, unless, of course, tonight they play Dyers Eve, Fade to Black, and another live debut.

Wow that is a great idea. Can't say I care much for the band since Justice For All, but this is a good concept. There's plenty of live stuff that I can only get through non legit methods and it's much cheaper to do it this way than to buy imported music.

Well, the next best thing to being there is to log onto www.livemetallica.com NOW to download the Los Angeles 3/5/04 show!

I'm on song 7 of the collection right now.

In other news, Scott Ian and Rob Zombie were 30 feet away from us on a viewing platform not far from the stage.

Heard the 3/5/04 show with Dyers Eve. I'm not all that impressed with the FLAC hype. I have tons of their live stuff in regular mp3 format from the past and it sounds the same to me. The size difference is also outrageous... might as well be WAV. 🙂

Dyers Eve was nice to hear, but I REALLY want to hear Holier Than Thou live. 😀

Has anyone downloaded any shows other than the San Francisco one (I'm interested in the SF show b/c I was there)? If so can you tell me (or maybe send me a file clip) if the mix is ok? I have the San Fran show and i has Hetfield's vocals WAY too loud in my opinion so that you can't even hear the guitars/bass half the time unless you really crank it up. Then you get Het's vocals insanely loud too. I'd like to know if the SF show was a bad mixdown or if that's they way they all are (and I don't want to spend another $10 to download another show). MP3 format is fine.
