Live Metallica is one of my favorite things to listen to. If there's some sets I like, I'll probably buy a couple shows, especially since $20-30 is a whole lot cheaper then tickets for the Columbus show, which are around 100/ea for general admission.

I'm sorry, but Metallica's latest album is an embarrassment to musicians everywhere.

They've not had anything good in at least a half decade have they?

$12.95 for FLAC? I'd be all over that...

Too bad it probably won't include their opener (Godsmack).

Haha, I like this (under the technical section):

That's a pretty good show, from what I've seen they're pretty standard sets, but it's good to see them throwing other stuff in there. I'll probably wait until they're all out before I buy any. Hopefully they'll play Damage Inc. or Leper Messiah at one of the shows, they're probably my two favorite Metallica songs of all time.

I've noticed they're only playing 2 songs from St. Anger too (on other set lists as well). They obviously know what their diehard fans like.

But heres the real kicker. Did you pay the 12.95 or did you just download it? :p I'm guessing that you paid the 12.95.

If so, then a few posters of this thread just made themselves a horses ass

I bought it 13 bucks isn't squat to me :) One of the best live concerts I ever heard. Most live sucks IMHO. the new bass player is much more prounounced then when Newsted was with the band.

That's pretty freakin cool. I will have to download the Cow Palace show as I will be there. I hope they open with Blackened. I love how is starts off all soft and you knows somethings coming, they all of a sudden it's balls out Hetfield doing what he's known for with Lars joining in on the snare.

I'm not a huge metallica fan myself. I like certain songs. 2 hours of high quality music for 13 bucks is a hell of a lot cheaper then a cd, and a hell of a lot more fun the itunes.

The quality of these live shows is amazing!! It is almost like you are in the front row of the conceert. Well worth the cash in my book!

Right now I am listening to Holier then thou ...they said they have not played the tunelive in 12 years !

Working on the second available date now (03/03 - Tucson), got the first three tracks thus far.

Sound quality is excellent (as should be expected from FLAC), I'm very impressed.

Gives me a good taste of what I'm in for on the 18th.

Unrelated, related subject...got my tickets for the Moline, IL show today. Woo! Didn't go for the floor (had pussy friends that wanted to sit, heh), but got about as close to the stage as you could possibly get.

We'll be buying the download of our concert. Too bad it isn't until the last week of August :(

by buying st. anger you got access to bootlegs of their a lot of their shows since they started touring. people need to realize that just beacuse metallica doesn't want you to steal their cd music doesn't mean they don't believe in bootlegging.

Exactly -->
This is the next logical step in a process that began back in 1991 when we first implemented the "Taper Section" at our shows, where our fans were encouraged to bring in their own gear to record the show, and then take home their very own "bootleg" of the concert they had just seen. This technology will enable our fans to get the best possible recording of the show, without having to hold a microphone in the air for the entire night!
