I'm assuming you can't combine this with ebates. You most likely have to go through Chase's own shopping gateway. (And, presumably, Chase is collecting the referral fees from the merchants.)

Well, any card with a % back is better than whatever I'm using now, even if I'm only saving a few $$ on each purchase.. ($1 for every $100, assuming that whomever I buy from isn't one of their retailers mentioned) so..thanks for the deal. :)

If/When I get the card, I'll report and see how shopping works with them, and whether you can combine ebates or not.

This is a pretty decent credit card. At least 1% cash back no matter where you use the card. and there is no annual fee. Plus you have all the convenience of saving even more without going through ebates which is a lot of trouble. I think this card pretty good.

Why would you have to go through a gateway? This is just a credit card, so you would use it at the time of purchase like any other card. I'm assuming at least.

I clicked through the stockback website to try to get to Dell. I stopped when it asked for my username and password at what looked like their own shopping gateway.

Did anyone see if there are any extra benefits like double warranty and Buyer's assurance? If not, maybe I'll stick with ebates+Amex Blue for big purchases of items with warranty.

He's right. You need to go through Chase's shopping gateway. They've had this for a while. Chase gets the referal fees and give your a part of the profits. However, they tend to spam the bejesus out of you when you sign up.

<< eBates has been great to me, in almost 2 years I have received over $1,500 in free money, you can't beat that. >>

RossMAN: That's because you had like a billion people refer you when they signed up. :p Normal, poor people like me only get maybe $10 back from ebates a year, although $10 back from the Dell s200/330 order was a good deal. :)

Why not get Amex Platinum cash rebate card for rebate up to 2% + ebates.
Or get the Marshall TJX card and get 5% cash back from marshall purchases and 1% from elsewhere.
More information here credit cards

I thought about getting that American Express Platinum cashback card, but the card doesn't say 2% back on ALL purchases, just some. I do like the fact that the Stockback gives you at least 1% for every purchase, and you have the option of leaving in Merrill Lynch's Mutual Fund (to gain interest) or to take it out for cash.

The Farm Bureau card has a straight 2% cash back, not tiered. You can't beat that - if you can, let me know as this is the HOTTEST card out there right now. Linky

Thanks for the posts. The Farm Bureau card, which I applied for, doesn't actually give you the cash back....they will apply it to your bill if you call them up once a year and ask them to.

I have a Shell card. They apply the 1 and 5 percent credit against the following month's bill. Which is ok but it means if you close out your account, let's say in June, paying in full the $200 in gas you charged in May, you will not get the $10 in credit for that $200 as you won't have a bill the following month in July. Small point, but still a good deal. With gas selling for $1.40 plus, I am saving 7 cents a gallon at least.

The other problem with the shell card is that your bonus is free gas. When using the free gas, you do not get your 5% rebate. Thus, once you really start using the card and getting your credits, it's not much more than the 1%.

Wrong, from the website;

<< Your earnings can be automatically invested in a mutual fund or kept as cash. >>
