Forget CPU Burn - Try this

when I use CPU Burn, my temp goes up and it is supposed to put a big load on your computer, right? This should put a bigger load on your CPU - all of them.

Make a new text file (notepad) type "1" without the quotes. save it as "1.bat", run it. Test it out. Get 2 windows going at the same time, try 3, 4. Post how it turns out.

yeah......well theres on i figured out.....use windows calculator, fill it up with all 9's, and then you hit a certain button, i forget which and cant check cus i'm not in windows right now, but yeah, it just goes on this calculation that would take forever to calculate, and puts your cpu at 100%.

i just use rc5 though, cus it reports errors. (and they like it at hardOCP so its gotta be good 😉)

Or even better, stop by the Distributed client forum, pick a DC project (like eccP109) and load that up. It will run your cpu at 100% 24/7 if you let it! I do, but only because Im cheap and want to get my money's worth.

or SETI... the best one 😉

my system is totally stable, i have turned in 22 work units in the last 3 or so days... computer just keeps chuggin 😛

Seti would be a good choice with the racce going right now, but I personally like eccp109 better 😀

Ive got eccP109 taking up 99%+ on both of my bigger machines and they keep going without problems.
