It would mostly be a question of character set support right? I'll admit I've never tried Hindi, but I've never had iTunes not accept characters that I've given it, although I don't know if I've ever gone beyond utf-8. Have you tried just putting it in and seeing what happens?
My roommate has a ton of asian music. It works fine in iTunes on his powerbook, but most of the characters end up as little rectangles with the same songs in iTunes for windows.
