Ford X-Plan pricing

Wifes Dad can get me the Ford employee discount.

Seems to be about 1% below invoice on average. Is this worth pursuing?

Was thinking about getting the new Fusion if all the reviews are stellar... or should I give into my badself and get a 2012 mustang gt with brembos and 3.73 gears?

2013 Fusion. Reviews WILL be stellar, based on the current Mondeo which I've seen compared to the BMW 3 Series (keep in mind the yuropians get 3 series with little 4 cylinders and no options as well as the luxury models). It's a Volvo EUCD chassis, which is used on the 2007+ S80, 2011+ S60, and 2007+ Ford Mondeo.

37MPG highway with a 1.6L turbo and 6 speed manual, or 30mpg highway with the Focus ST engine and AWD, but a 6 speed auto. That's a tough choice! The 2012 (personally I prefer the 2013 front end more) Mustang GT is a no brainer though. For what, 32k MSRP that is a stupid good deal.

You can beat X plan on your own. I get it through work... I beat it by $3000. Wasn't worth anything if you are willing to be patient and shop a couple of dealers against each other.

Yeah, I wasn't impressed at all when I looked into it.

Obviously depends on the car. But yes a lot of these can be beat. My last job had an Audi one. You could get an s4 for invoice when no dealer would move off of msrp when they came out

If there are incentives offered on the car you are likely going to get better pricing not using X-plan. On cars with no incentives X-plan can be the best deal available

Ford employee discount is not X-plan. X-plan is for vendor partners and the like.

D-plan is dealership employees, A-plan is Ford employees. Both of these smoke the X-plan, and you likely cannot beat either on your own, unless it's some desperate situation, like end of the year closeouts.
Z-plan is for retired Ford employees. Same as A plan. An eligible person can generate 4 PIN's a year for whatever plan they fall under.

D and A and Z plans are WAY under invoice.

2013 Mustangs are out with slightly more hp, LED front and rear lamps and hood exteactors, you could try getting one of those. I got a 2013 GT Premium w/ Track pack, Recaros and security package for $6.5k off MSRP through ENCS, you could probably get a similar price for a similar car through employee discounts. When I bought my car, Ford was offering a Mustang Madness incentive on the 2013s too which save me around $3k.
