That's a pretty extreme design. I doubt the final version will look very much like that at all. I also doubt that 1.6L will be enough, but then I don't know anything about"ecoboost."

looks good from normal viewing angles.

and the ecoboost 1.6 should put out plenty of torque

Ecoboost is Ford's term for smaller, high-tech turbocharged engines. The 1.6L Ecoboost will probably be similar in output (but with better fuel economy) to the old 3L V6.

Ford is saying somewhere around 170 to 180 HP for the 1.6L Ecoboost. Although the Escape could get the 2.0L Ecoboost which puts out 240-250HP

Ah. I hadn't gone and looked up the output specs of the various engines. Good to know.

I hope this doesn't replace the escape. I like a lot of domestic cars, but it drives me up the wall that they cannot keep a car model for more than a generation or two. It makes marketing very difficult....

That said, this looks like a very fun car. Could this be a competitor to vehicles like the Nissa Juke? A compact 'crossover-esque' vehicle. These cars look kind of cool, but are somewhat impractical when compared to a standard hatchback.

Looks like a Volvo SUV. Barf.

For an SUV the lines are way too busy. If I was shopping that class of car I'd probably go for a Ford Edge before I bought that one. Well, the Edge is probably bigger so I guess the comparable vehicle would be a CRV or a RAV4. I'd go with the RAV4 I think.
