Ford truck pulls stuck semi

Thought this was a pretty cool video shot yesterday here in Rochester. They closed down this stretch of highway because so many semis were stuck, and then closed down the other side a while later because cars were stuck everywhere...

People need to invest in snow tires up here, saw a lot of cars in the ditches and plenty more stuck in intersections just spinning tires. Also saw a few smart ones who tried pulling in unplowed parking lots or driveways, only to end up sticking halfway into the road. D:

Sorry, Facebook was the only source I could find...

Kind of hard to believe that people in Rochester would not know about snow tires. It's not like DC, where big snowstorms are uncommon and hence the entire populace is not prepared for them...

I don't pretend to understand why people feel they don't need snow tires up here. I actually have a brand new set sitting in my garage that I bought on clearance, but decided to ride my current set out until the season is over.

I live in Buffalo and all my friends think I am nuts for getting snow tires. They all still just get decent all season tires. Love my snow tires, makes my car awesome in snow.
