I've been wondering when they where going to do this, I had a friend in high school that roasted 2 out of 3 of his f150's (the dealership kept replacing them since it was covered under his warranty)

I wonder if he was 2 of the 36 reports. :D

Why is it that ALL Ford recalls carry lines like "...which could cause a fire"?

Poor electrical engineers.

Were they Found On Road Dead?

Fixed On Roger's Driveway

Ferous Oxide, Rust and Debris

F'dd Over Rebuilt Dodge

etc,etc, etc.

Well they keep you in business Roger :) :p

You forgot one:
Fixed Or Repaired Daily

Doesn't take much for the Ford h8r's to come out :disgust: ...nevermind Nissan had 2.5 million cars recalled or over 900,000 Honda Accords got recalled in the past.

I don't think they reported it to ford as anything other than an unexplained fire.

edit: now that I think of it his where 1999 model f-150's

I assume that those recalls are only occasional, but with Fords, I see recalls in the news at least once a year. And it's nobody's fault that the numbers are that big, but only the customers that bought it, because somebody has to buy 900 000 or 2 500 000 cars, before that amount can be recalled...know what I'm saying?

They don't have nearly enough parts to do so,

I drive a 2000 Ford F150, but its the supercharged Lightning model, but I'm sure the cruise control switch is the same. guess I'll have to get this recall done

A coworker had a 97 F150 burn to the ground somehow while it sat turned off in the parking lot. sounds like exactly whats happening here but the recall only covers 2000 year model ?
