Ford recall - MKC and Escape

Fuel pump problems on the MKC and Escape.

They also apparently actually have to move the engine start button on the MKC...

The first recall covers a total of 12,205 MKCs and 2014 Ford Escape crossovers in North America for a problem related to the nickel plating on the fuel pump. Ford says the pump can seize, causing the vehicle to stall while being driven. Or it just might not start

The second recall, also announced on the last day of 2014, is even more unusual because it involves a design, rather than mechanical, defect.

Ford wants to move the position of the start button on 13,574 2015 MKCs in North America, of which 11,144 are in the U.S. The current button was deemed to be too close to other controls, leading to fears that drivers might inadvertently shut off the engine. If that happens, it will also render the SUV's airbags inoperable, according to Ford.

Ouch. I like ford vehicles but that 2nd one sounds like a huge problem.
