My father had a 96 Escort on blocks in the garage with 101 000km's (about 61000miles) on it, since he bought his Subaru two years ago and never bother to sell it.

His brother needs a cheap car to get around, and my father was thinking about sell him the car for 2000$ (Canadian) about 1500USD.

The car had 1200$ (about $900USD) of maintenance done on it at 98000km's (new breaks, new suspension coils, new timing belt, all the fluids flushed, and a few more things)

My father has no idea what its worth, is that good price? He doesn't want to rip his brother off.

Edit: Cars an automatic, has remote starter, electric windows/mirrors, AC (which works). It has some rust on the body but nothing to bad, and is really clean on the inside.

that's a hot deal assuming it runs. Hell, the car could be a cosmetic mess and i'd still buy it at that price.

$2000-2500 sounds like a really good deal. You could probably up it to $3000 or so on the open market, but for family I'd say no higher than $2500.
