Ford CPO

Hey guys

So we are getting rid of our Focus for the terrible DCT transmission.

The dealership we are looking at has a 2013 Ford Mustang v6 Premium 'vert Pony package, with CPO. The car has 13,XXX miles

Negotiations are tough and they are willing to remove the cpo for an additional 500, which makes it 21,500.

Any suggestions? The CPO gives an additional year/12k plus a 7yr/100k on the powertrain.

Here's a pic as well!

I think $500 isnt much at all but I've always steered away from Any extended warranty's

At $500 I'd take it.

Also the dealer probably won't be very forthcoming about this but Ford's CPO program has a $100 per visit deductible. Otherwise coverage is like the factory warranty. On the positive side, it is straight through Ford and viewable directly through the VIN at any Ford dealer.

I bought the full 7 year/100k on my 2013 C-Max Energi, amounted to about $400/year for the 5 remaining years so giving you $500 for one year sounds about right.

Viper GTS

What do you guys think of the price overall? I know the 2014's had very little changes, so I'm not too worried about it already being close to 3 years old. Sticker was right at 36k.

I also know that this car was garaged year round - ended up being traded in.
Can't seem to find a lot of similar ''vert mustangs with low miles and similar packages. The CPO is a huge plus for me, as it essentially feels like I'm getting a brand new car

The $500 CPO option is a no-brainer. Can't speak to the price, but sounds pretty decent. Maybe try to haggle some more and get closer to 20k??

Tried, literally won't budge because they're taking our depreciated focus and offered 2k more than carmax did.
Showed me that they're only making $263 on the mustang but I doubt that's true.

Call them on the $263. Have them provide proof.

Or decide what you feel their profit should be; offer that profit based on them showing you the purchase price.

If you are willing to wait they will sell you that car for $21,K in late August.
Right now 21,995 is their offer and I think by the end of August the car will be gone.

I'm looking through Ford cpo's and this one seems to be the highest optioned v6. One other mustang that is similarly optioned is priced at 24k, with higher miles.

Just buy it and enjoy it. Seems like a good deal. Why fret over a couple hundred dollars?

Convertibles are awesome.
Mustangs are awesome.
This car looks awesome. What's not to love?

Good buy. FWIW, a manufacturer CPO and a dealer provided or other third party extended warranty are two very different things. My Focus ST was bought as a Ford CPO with under 5k miles, so with the added 12k B2B it made it a longer warranty than the other brand new one I had been looking at

Definitely a Ford CPO. Powertrain warranty till 2019

Drives great, much better than the focus. Especially the transmission
