Forcing RAM to 133mhz? SPD Data missing errors?

As far as I know, I've got Infineon 256MB CL-2 PC133 RAM, but my 815 board just runs it at 100mhz, and only has settings to change the CL stuff. My stick says CL-2 on it, but Sandra (I should double check this) says it's good up to CL-3 at (I think) 133mhz.

I've forced my board to run it at 2-2-2, but of course it's stuck at 100mhz, and it gives an error about SPD Serial Pressense Detect (I think) data being missing or inconclusive.

Any ideas about all this?

Depending on the Vendor and the guarantee, you may be able to exchange it. Try some other SPD RAM on your board if possible to be sure that its the Ram rather than the board/bios.

What board do you have, anyway? Somebody may be able to help force 133 if they have experience with the particular model.

I've had the RAM since maybe August, so I don't think I can do anything with it. An Asus VIA board I had never complained (although it occasionally bumped the speed down randomly).

I've got Intel's 815 board now, and it dosen't seem to allow you to do 133mhz without the SPD data being right. It might actually be correct though, going by Sandra.
