Using ATI Smart Gart, I still cannot force fast Write for my 8500DV AIW (running on a 8rda+). In Bios, fast write is turned on. Why? The help message says it is not turned on becasue it was deemed unsafe or something to that effect.
Any software to force fast write? I use Riva Tuner but the fast write was greyed out.
I never worried about fast write until I heard that WM9 HD video performs better on video cards with fast write on. Is this true?
I had the 8500 dv on a p4 1.6a (oc 2.4g) and it runs like a dog playing Coral Reef 1080p. Running the card on a amd set up (xp1700+ to 2.2 Ghz on 8rda+), I got much smoother results. But it is still not on par with my 9500np running on xp2100+ to 2.2 g on an a7n8x.
