Forcing AGP 1X

Hi guys,

Is there any software out there that allows me to force AGP to run @1X? I have a GF2MX on an Asus P2B and i'm experiencing some random lock ups in games and i wanna see if running AGP @1X will help at all?
I've looked in the bios but can't find any option that lets me do this.
Appreciate your help.

My SoftmenuIII bios maybe differ than your bios layout but if you could find "AGP Transfer Mode" in your bios, it should have "default, normal, fast, or 1x, 2x, etc.." I know in my case, I set mine at 2x and stable for me 🙂 I had similar problem such as video crashing when playing games when I had running 146mhz FSB whether I lowered the AGP to 1x or not. But i found out that after I make a bit of adjustment on the V-core and I/O voltage, It's nicely stable @ 147mhzFSB/2x AGP, heehee.. I agree that changing your AGP mode will help, but also consider other things e.g.. Temps, Voltage setting, etc.

Thanks shk. Unfortunately, my bios doesn't have that option.
I've read somewhere that there's a tweak prog that lets you do this but i can't remember where.
Anybody else can help?

Powerstrip will force darn near anything you want. The downside is that you have to run it every time you boot up.
