Im testing right now. Things definately seem a bit snappier. Also im using SATA so i probably wont notice much of a difference except when using a CD/DVD ROM.

Will test on DIII.

This is not a complete driver set.

I did a complete uninstall of ATi and Nvidia to try these though.

1. Network driver supplied in this set isnt recognized for my NF7-S
2. PCI to PCI bridge isnt found. (point it to the Standard one in system32\drivers\pci.sys)

So, keep you favorite Network driver handy just in case it doesnt work for you either.

I had to re-image to post this note for you guys.

Gonna try it again.
(with backup drivers this time)

Omg.... im sorry. I tested it out and i new that before hand. IM REALLY SORRY.

Make sure NOT to install network driver and also i do believe you need a new inf when using nforce 1 and 2 boards. 3 and 4 do not, which is supplied at guru3d.

A new .inf for what driver ...

Gads man ... save us some headaches !!!

BTW .. you must have installed over the top.
Cuz, if you do a driver cleaner job like I did ,,, all drivers are removed.

Guru3d has it on its site. link it is at the bottom of the page. That allows for the 2.7 SW drivers to be installed. All the other stuff worked for me except the Ethernet driver and SMBUS. I installed those based on the 5.10's.

I used the .inf that garikfox provided and I was able to install the IDE 2.7 drivers. They seem to be a tad faster with the same CPU utilization (according to HDTACH 3). They are not WHQL for NF2 mobos though...

Mega ... your going to confuse member with your remix driver versions...

You might want totell us where each driver comes from instead.

These drivers dont have a MEM or GART driver.
(yours are from 5.10 I think)

BTW ,, I lost performance with 5.10 GART.

(I cant remember if I tried the MEM thou)

I actually had my entire remix before the 5.10 was released. I picked the pieces up one at a time when I noticed new leaks being reported over at NForcersHQ. I can't remember which individual UDP sets I got them from.

I do extensive system testing after I formulate a new remix so I am certain that it is a good driver set for me. I've shared them with others when asked to, no one has ever reported a problem. :)

bummer... I want to try that 4.4.0 memory controller....

It's not in the 5.10's either ....
(still 3.3.8)

I'll take a look over at Nforcers...

I found out that the SWE IDE drivers didnt install either ..
But, there is text to create an .ini file on the link I posted above.

My preliminary results are not good (performance wise)

I'm tring to narrow down which drivers are causing loss.

nV is totally focused on the latest nF3&4 chipsets now and new drivers aren't likely to help nF2 nF3 150 owners in most areas any more than 6series dets help GF4 ti owners.

I'm pretty happy with my drivers as they are. No bugs, good performance. I will keep my remix as it is now and keep a copy onhand so I can use it on NF2/Sempron systems I am building these days. At this point I don't think NV could do anything to make me happier driver-wise.

I was completely 4.27 international.

I decided to keep the audio and 4.40 swedish mem driver.

I saw some wierd flux when testing the 2.7 SW IDE drivers with HD_speed.
But, they seem to work fine.

I have no loss in performance, and the audio sounds 'crisper' to me.
