Forceware 81.85 Driver Conflicts with X2

I tried using the 81.85 WHQL drivers on my machine. After installing it, I noticed several programs would hang when I tried launching them. Paint Shop Pro is one example. Has anyone else noticed this? I'd really like to run 81.85 or higher so I can switch to SLI without rebooting, but having these apps not working will not work for me.
