Anyone taken a test drive with these yet? I've got a 6800 and was just wondering if it's worth updating to this set of drivers or sticking with the 71.89's.

fixed the video playback error...

in the nvidia control panel go to the color correction tab, set color profile to advanced mode, select apply color profile changes to "ALL". Hit Apply and your done!

Wow, I had the same problem. Nice find! Thanks for the fix! Seems like everyone I know had that problem, and I told them what you said to do and it fixed it right up!

Yep, worked for me as well.

Now we just need to find out if these drivers are better than the 71.89s on NV4x hardware.

I was in a hurry to upgrade (I love new drivers :) ) on my geforce4 and got an improvement of 4% in the ffxi demo (high res, d3d app I believe).

Also removed all of the "playonmy" shell extensions from the registry that the drivers installed. I hate the flashing every time I right-click a video file.

ps - I played a few UT2K4 deathmatches and I actually noticed some freezes in the games. These drivers are not ready for primetime yet IMHO.

*uninstalls shiny new drivers* :(

DONT USE THESE DRIVERS.

I and many others on all forums have colour problems playing back movies in WMP and POWERDVD.

I only have issues in POWERDVD and i only tried playback of AVI's, i couldnt fix with reinstall of POWERDVD or reseting all Driver tabs to defaults after messing with video settings, the picture is pixelated and colours are washed out.

Going back to previous driver has fixed.

I also has some "run XXX dll" (cant mind what it was called) sticking cpu time and use to 100% when i rightclick and choose desktop properties, making it hard to move my mouse but not every occassion.

I'm still on the 77.62 XG Drivers. More than happy with them - fully compatible with BattleField 2 it seems.

Few others and i bet its same across board, the driver aint only going to do to certain users, unless its to do with your gpu, im on 6800U and my wmp is ok but powerdvd aint and others got it in wmp messed up, i cant comment on winamp as i not use aol crap.

I had the video gamma issue and the rundll32.dll problems also. What cinched it for me was when it caused hitching and freezing in UT2K4.

Its same as you its rundll32.dll, but i have ZERO issues in games, jsut desktop props and movies in powerdvd :disgust:

Hm, I got 500 less points in 3dmark05 using the 77.72 drivers compared to 72.14.

AHhhhhhhh.

I had 71.89 (last official, methinks), and an annoying problem of the screen refreshing whenever I deleted something on the desktop. I thought it was me, or something else screwed up on my machine.

77.72 fixed this. (5900 SE).
