Do any of you notice a difference between High Performance and Quality. I didn't notice any.

I use performance, there is most definately a difference, try this test and you will see. Download and run the "Vulcan" demo from nvidia. run it without AA, or AF on high quality, watch it once, then switch fo performance, or high performance, watch the demo again, you will notice it moves smoother and faster. They say the image quality suffers, but to be honest, I can never tell.

Depends on your card I think. On my 5800nu there is a difference in performance at least between the settings but it is not very large at any time. I generally keep it set to performance as there is a slight boost in speed and I see little to no loss in quality. However, I too have thought it a bit strange that there seems to be so little difference between the settings. Oh, well.

I checked it out. Searching google. The Image settings affect mip-map transitions. High Performance has little to no transition and Quality has most transition.

noone answered or gave a specific answer or example, so I took action into my own hands. Its been up for like three days.
