Why does nero force me to use dvd-R media instead of dvd+r ? I get mesages saying "please insert dvd-r media" "you have inserted dvd+r." This happenes when i burn movies, data, iso's and everything eles. i have a indo dvd all format drive from TDK. i am also using TDk media. Is there any reason why i cannot burn certain stuff on certain media. I have not been able to find anything in a search engine on this. Im an using NERO version 6. i have problems with cdrwin, and disk juggler so i dont use them. Does anybody know what i can do! BTW i am burning custom iso's for Xbox games, emulators for xbox and so on and so forth.
What is the major difference between media types - please help and explain.

firmware update. check it out. go to TDK's website and look for problems with your drive.

Try a different program. For .iso or .img files you can use DVDDecrypter. Also try and get Gear Pro. That is a good program. You can also try Record Now Max. I like NERO for CD's but I don't like it for DVD burning.

As far as -R and +R, use what works in whatever the destination is. See what your XBOX prefers. My PS2 loves DVD-R so that's what I use.

First of all, I'd say be patient. Posting twice in half-an-hour might be "excessive". As was said, try a firmware update. Do you have the latest version of nero 6? Also if you can, try different media (ie different +R).
