Forced to flushdns and registerdns frequently...

I am running a Windows 2003 server to host a website. I don't use a static ip but considering my ip hasn't changed in over 2 years (I have my router renewing the lease automatically), I figured I could use it without any problem and we have our domain name registered and pointing to my ip.

For very light usage, the server performs just fine but, when I try a bit more fancy stuff (even if is just hosting a few images or running my andromeda mp3 server for my lan) my webserver becomes inaccessible. When I flushdns and registerdns, it starts working perfectly right away. Alternately, if I just let it be, after a few hours it starts working by itself.

Any clue why this is happening and what I can do to prevent it from happening? It's also running a windows domain internally for me, btw.
