hey everyone
my venerable gf2 gts went pear shaped this morning and has now ceased to be 🙁
this places me in the position of to needing upgrade 😉
im looking into an ati 8500 AIW dv cos theyve dropped in price a fair bit now and i do do a bit of DV editing as it is.
Will the hardware compensation on the card make it better for DV capturing? at the moment ive got a pinnacle firwire capture card but i dont think it has any hardware enhancement for capturing.
If theres any other cards in the ~150 pound range (200 dollars) that you would recommend above the 8500 please tell me! My current rig is an athlon xp 1800 with 512mb pc2100.
