Hello All,

I installed WinXP on this system and have had some problems. I found that if I installed CloneCD before Nero then my CD-RW and DVD drives would get exclamation marks in the device manager. I installed Nero first and all was fine. Then I installed CDRwin and it said it couldn't run because I didn't have an ASPI layer installed. I checked the BIOS and found no etries for turning ASPI on or off. So I headed over to doom9 and d/led the ForceASPI util.

The CD burning programs work fine now. My concern is that I really shouldn't have this problem, right? Win XP should have ASPI from the start, right? Now, I DID upgrade from winME (clean install of winME). Could my problems have come from winME?

CdrWin 3.8E and above has it's own aspi drivers that you must install.
If you haven't installed them then go to the CDrWin homepage and download them.
If you have the above version it comes with it, but you must select to install them when you install the program.
