Force windows to keep a Plug and Play driver

My question is about display drivers.

First some background. We have a windows computer attached to and LG monitor and the LG monitor is plug and play compatible. Using a standard VGA cable windows finds the display and everything works fine. The problem is for our particular installation we had to use spliced VGA cables to get them through the conduit and the cables do not support DCC which is the VGA channel that supports play and play.

So the question is does anyone know a way to plug a display into windows and have it recognize the plug and play device, but then force windows to always use that driver? maybe some registry value that turns off plug and play detection of display drivers.
