Force people in For Sale/Trade to allow User Ranking

I'm sure this would involve some coding on the admin's part, but this owuld help avoid peopel getting screwed in the for sale/trade forum.

In the profile area, everyone can choose to allow other Users to Rank you. If there was a check done that anyone posting to the for sale form had to have that turned on and left on, it would allow people to note their accoutns for the people that are known scammers and thiefs.

You'd have to check any time a new post was created in the forum, as well as any time someone turned off that options that had it on to see if they ahd any active threads in the FS/T forum.

I think Heatware (I think that's what it's called..if it's not I'm referring to the link in some people's sig line that points to a feedback page to show how good that person is with a trade/sale) is supposed to give a more accurate measure of a seller/trader/buyer/'s trustworthiness.

Anitsocial is right, some people go around giving others 1's just for fun. Ratings are not accurate by a long shot, although the people in FS/T may be better with rating that say people in OT.

User ratings do not involve actually dealing with the person and I consider them less accurate than looking at a picture and guessing. Heatware is a much more accurate measure.

If you're referring to GameTZ, yup. That rating/trading system is hard to beat.

I will not enable the ratings in the profile just for the fact that lots of people are going around giving "1's" out. This "score" would not be meaniful to other traders. So far Heatware will give you the best idea of what a trader is really like with his/her online deals.
