Force P4P800 to run single channel with all DIMMS filled?

Is there anyway to have all four dimms full and still run in single channel mode? I need maximum RAM for the apps I run. I've heard that if you mismatch the ram speed (3200 with 4000, for example) the board cannot run in dual mode, but I've also heard that running different speeds is not good for performance.

Anyone know?

Well in your case why the hell would you not run in dual channel as the perfomance benefits for Intel based systems are very very good.

Also yes it is bad to run your FSB and memory speed(s) out of sync. If that is the case why dont you either overclock or underclock.
