Dunno. I just plugged in my original MS Sidewinder Force Feedback stick yesterday and found that XP wouldn't recognize it. I was looking at buying the FF2, but after your post I'm not so sure.

What kind of improvements does FF2 have over the original MS Force Feedback joystick? Currently my Force Feedback 1 works fine in Windows XP. The force feedback itself seems ok in games, maybe a bit too powerful sometimes with a game's default settings: try racing an F1 car in Williams F1 Team racing (or something like that) and Flight Simulator 2002.

ya i rmad the force feedback 2 i had after i found that no games hardly supported its features,,,,i was wondering if that has improved any,,,,it also wasent working with my me drivers so that was a situation also,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it seems like such a solid product that i would have thought every dang game would have wanted to use it ,,,i mean it would have been real cool,,,was it a microsoft licence deal that keeps all games from enabiling the force feedback,,,,or is it the added expense of developing game drivers ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,cause that is a cool piece of hardware
