Force DMA mode under Win2K

Well, this doesn't happen on my Abit motherboard...but on my new-acquired Asus P3B-F...🙁

What happened is that my CDRW is back to PIO mode instead of DMA mode. I would like to know if there is any way to "force" Win2K to recognize it as DMA mode. Have tried the system-hardware-setup under control panel, but not working...🙁

Please help me out.

My Plextor reverted to PIO. I just assummed that Plextor couldn't handle DMA. The CDROM is running running DMA.

well...I'm sure your plextor can...but this works on my Abit board...just the Asus(even their A7V) can't handle this situation.

Win95/98 is okay since once you click DMA you'll be fine...but not Win2K.
