force a game to run in window mode?

Can you force a game to run in window (or is it windowed?) mode? I know some games support it natively, but I don't see an option in Tiger Woods '07.

Try hitting alt-enter and see if that works.

I tried alt-enter - that didn't do anything. I also tried adding -win to the target line, and that didn't work. I can't find a .cfg or .ini file to mess with either. Oh well, no big deal, I've since developed other pc problems that need more urgent attention

Not all games support it without some third-party mod or similar. Using command parameters usually doesn't work, most games that don't have an in-game option won't have that parameter.

Read the game documentation (online and offline) or visit their forums to see what steps are necessary. Some games will need a mod though, and if the community is small there's little chance of it.
