I'm sorry but in reference to the LandRover:
A $27,000 SUV is NOT a luxury vehicle.

Same with that sedan. A $27,000 SAAB is NOT luxurious.


Regardless, I would expect more quality from those lines, so the article is still a good read.
Was also really suprised with the Volvo. They've been making ugly little cars since the beginning, but Volvo always had a good name for reliability.

$123K bentley continental GT is where it's at.. Faster than a vette, more luxurious than a S600 and relativly cheap compared to old school bentleys @ 250K.

I for one can testify to the crappiness of the Benz SL class...a lady at work has one and not 1 month has gone by that the thing wasn't in the shop with some sort of electrical problem. It was a total POS and all they would give her as a rental was another benz (E class), which one of those even crapped out with electrical problems while she was renting it. i've had fords that were more reliable than those things

It's not the Germans doing the building anymore. They moved their vehicle production eastward, into Czech Republic and Slovakia. That's when their reliability ratings went to crap.
