Acura lost to Lexus with the LS400(vs. Legend), they never recovered after that. The NSX never produced as much excitment or sales as intended. I think these two loses put them behind and they're now just slowly coming back.

There's a handful of Acura's I love.
ITR, Legend, NSX and the 3.2TLS.

Infiniti has been doing pretty crappy up until late.
The recent sales surge can all be attributed to the FM based platform (FX, G35).
Hopefully the rumored new interiors in them will help even more.

I can agree with the article.

After owning a Lexus and now owning an Acura, I can say the Acura is really a poor man's Lexus. The interior is really cheap although the new TL was pretty nice.

Acura fell off after the 2nd generation Legend and has not recovered.

That being said, I  my Legend :D

They seemed to forget that Toyota is the no.2 auto manufacturer in the world with stagerring amount of $$$. Honda is like what? 7th or 8th tops?

Acura has some decent cars. The new TL and TSX is positioned nicely for entry level luxury car, and their MDX is on par with anything out there in the entry luxury SUV. They're hurting on the high-end luxury, with the GS/ LS beating the RL to death.

if honda would just build a v8 rwd sedan... i mean is is that hard to understand that that IS what the competition is. i mean anybody looking at an ls430... why in the world would he ever even look at an RL... its like a piece of sh!t compared to an LS430

Honda has not been financially committed to Acura. I think the NSX is a prime example of this. Honda has not made the effort to keep it competitive.
