Hi Fellow Techies, just thought i'd share a lil something i learned Modding my Logitech Optical mouse... If you change LED's to get a Blue mouse etc... make sure you get the same brightness or it won't work.... but we all knew that. the main thing i learned is that the Logitech with the clear shell will not work at all unless you shroud the clear LED holder with something (i used reflective tape for R/C planes and Black Electrical tape over it) this kinda forces more light toward the reciever... i don't think this is a problem on MS meese because the cover is that white-ish plastic, also, if you have a "nice" mousepad like a ratpad or everglide as i do, the blue mod may not work on the pad and changing the color of your LED will be affected by the color of the pad. i.e. my blue LED modded mouse wouldn't work at all unless on white paper or a generic flat plastic pad, but when i returned it to Red, it works fine on my everglide giganta (black) but not when i tested it on a white everglide... just a lil something i learned from the experience i'd like to share with those who wish to Mod their optical mouse as well...
